That’s right. They ALL did features on us this month. The word is out on FUNCTION’s Carry Systems!
Brett from the Clymb wrote a nice review of 01 and 02 after hiking mt hood for a day:
3 day event on the clymb!!!!
The most exciting thing Function launched in 2013’s SIA wasn’t a product but an “ingredient”. Four of our products for next season are constructed from a non-woven material whose principle fiber is Dyneema ®.
For those of you who are not avid climbers or material junkies, Dyneema is a fiber which is incredibly durable and strong. How strong you ask… How about 10-15 times the strength of steel? Yeah, that strong.
What this means for Function is some of the lightest and strongest bags to enter the snow sports market EVER.
SIA 2013 has just drawn to a close and it was a FANTASTIC show for Function. We launched a mountain of new products at SIA including backpacks, gear bags and eyewear. While most of them will not be for sale until next season we will give you all some sneak peaks on our blog in the coming days.
As Glenn and I have been on a near continuos road trip in the US setting up new retail accounts for next ski season I wanted to give a brief update on the progress:
It’s going well.
Colorado: Front Range, Summit County, Fairplay, Salida, Poncha Springs, Monarch Mtn., Gunnison, Crested Butte, Telluride, Durango
Michigan: Auburn Hills
New Mexico: Taos, Taos Ski Valley, Red River Angel Fire
New York: Lake Placid
In the next 2 weeks we have meetings with retailers in Wyoming, Utah, Nevada and California. Looking forward to posting all the individual shop locations on the Function map once the dust settles!
